Gloria A. Nelson Cultural Arts Center

The Story

The Gloria A. Nelson Cultural Arts Center is a dedication to Gloria's personal commitment of preserving the historic beauty of this building and also giving artists and visitors a place to gather and breathe beauty. The gallery contains a collection of paintings by Gloria which express her love for the outdoors. The remainder of the gallery is commissioned to the Norton County Arts Council for use and display rights. The Arts Center has a hanging wire system for gallery display, which lends itself to different exhibits and shows.

Art exhibits showcase the talent of statewide, regional, and local artists.

Artists of note from the last several years include:

  • Angela Muller

  • Donna Eastman Liddle

  • Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit, Crossroads: Change in Rural America

  • Ali Sharp
