The Norton County Community Foundation makes grants from funds entrusted to us by donors to fulfill charitable needs. Some grants have specific guidelines for funding. Others are open to a broad range of charitable options.

They wish to buy heart monitors, a treadmill, an elliptical, and a stationary bike to provide activity to students, teachers, and injured students during, before, and after school.
Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas (DSNWK) - DSNWK proposes to install an interactive touch board in the Frontier Development Center in Norton to add a new technology for teaching and learning which has been proven to be a great source for instructing persons of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and provide intensive one-on-one training to persons with more severe disabilities. The Interactive touch board technology is extremely productive in training classrooms because of the sensory capability and immediate feedback to those who use the learning devices. The value of sensory training intervention through interactive technology not only promotes educational proficiency, but also increases interest and engagement level – key components for learning proficiency at any level of functioning. DSNWK was granted $4,193 dollars for this project.
