COVID-19

Our Statement

As COVID-19 continues to impact our region, Norton County Community Foundation (NCCF) recognizes that all residents are being called upon to make changes and sacrifices in their daily lives to ensure the health and security of our communities.

The NCCF office will begin virtual operations effective March 18, 2020. We want to assure the public that although our physical office will be closed, our staff will continue regular functions remotely in order to meet the needs of our donors and nonprofit partners.

Contact information for staff is:

  • Tara Vance, Executive Director, tara@nortonccf.org

  • Bethany Shirk, Director of Operations and Communications, bethany@nortonccf.org

  • Staff can be reached through the normal business phone line: 785-874-5106

Please also keep in touch with us through our website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.

Note that all meetings previously scheduled to take place in the Heaton Building in downtown Norton will be cancelled until further notice.

Additionally, in an effort to assess how we can use available funds to meet the most urgent needs in our community, we are sending a survey to all nonprofits and charitable organizations. We will share results from that survey as soon as possible so that community members can direct their assistance to specific areas.

We encourage all Norton County residents to follow the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) guidelines on social distancing.

Please keep in touch with us, and take care of yourselves and one another.

#NorCoBingo

In an effort to support businesses within our county, Norton County Community Foundation has organized a #NorCoBingo game. The game encourages players to get outside, enjoy their community, and do acts of kindness for others (all while observing social distancing guidelines). Winners receive $100 in Bingo Bucks (Chamber Bucks), which they are encouraged to spend at a business that is struggling due to COVID-19.
