MatchDay 2020

In-Person Event Details

  • The MatchDay event is scheduled for 7 AM to 7 PM on July 22, 2020 at the Heaton Building in Norton, KS.

  • Participating agencies are encouraged to have a booth at the Heaton Building as a drop-off location for cash and check donations. Online donations can be made through the NCCF website (see below). 


Online Giving

  • Anyone in the world may donate to one or more participating nonprofit endowments between 12:00 AM and 11:59:59 PM on July 22, 2020 at

  • Donations up to $2,000 per organization are eligible for a proportionate match, see donation rules below. 

  • Credit card processing fees will be covered by NCCF. 

Donation Information

  • The 2020 match pool will be $20,000, provided by Norton County Community Foundation.

  • The match pool will be divided in proportion to the total amount raised on July 22, 2020. For example, if $50,000 is raised and ABC Organization brought in 20% of the total donations, ABC Organization would receive 20% of the match pool, or $4,000. 

  • Donations up to a maximum of $2,000 per organization per person will be matched. However, we will gladly accept donations greater than $2,000.  

  • No organization will receive more than $10,000, or half of the $20,000 match pool. 

  • Donations made to the organizations can be used for immediate needs or invested into the endowed fund. Matching dollars will go to the organization’s endowed fund held at the Norton County Community Foundation. 

  • Donations are irrevocable and must be made in person at the designated drop-off location(s), or online at on MatchDay. Checks must be made out to Norton County Community Foundation with the donation form attached. 

  • Donations will be tax deductible and can be made to multiple organizations. Donors will receive a receipt letter after the event. 

  • One receipt will be issued to each individual making a donation. A list of the donors and their contact information will be provided to each nonprofit.

  • Donations by participating organizations to their own fund will not qualify for the match.

  • Organizations wanting to establish an endowed fund and be eligible for MatchDay 2020 must do so by May 29, 2020. The minimum gift to establish a fund is $10,000. 

Prize Incentives

  • Three organizations that bring in the most donors will receive the following prizes in the form of unrestricted grants: 1st Place - $500; 2nd Place - $250; 3rd Place - $100. Prize grants will be distributed at NCCF’s event celebration, 9:00 AM on July 24, 2020 at the Heaton Building. 


  • Only 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations and charities that have an endowed fund held at the Norton County Community Foundation are eligible to participate. Endowed funds must be established before May 29, 2020. 

  • Agencies must register and submit their nonprofit participation agreement letter by noon on June 5, 2020 in order to participate. 

Match Specifics

  • No organization will receive more than $10,000 (half of the pool) in matching funds. Prize grants are not included in this total.

  • Checks will be presented at NCCF’s event celebration, 9:00 AM on July 24, 2020 at the Heaton Building. Coffee and donuts will be provided. All participating organizations and MatchDay donors will be invited.
