The Norton County Community Foundation is proud to announce The Gala: Celebrating Our Roots.  The third year of this unique and special occasion promises to be one full of pride for the people who consider this place home.  “Celebrating Our Roots” means both honoring our roots and cultivating our future for growth and sustainability for many generations after us.  

 

The 2019 version of The Gala will take place on Saturday, February 2.  A cocktail party, live music, dancing, a silent auction and grant recognition will highlight the event, with a lively and upscale atmosphere defining the event as one of Norton County’s most exceptional evenings of the year.

Cocktail Party Menu: Asian Sliders, Shrimp Bisque Shooters, Bruschetta of Steak and Roasted Portobello Mushrooms, Roasted Root Vegetables, Truffled Potato Puree, Orzo Salad and Chocolate Banana Bread Pudding with Molten Ganache,  Catered by Mark Smith-Maybon, Norton Community High School Graduate

 

Open Bar: Including Beer from the Wichita Brewing Company, owned by Almena native Jeremy Horn, and Wine from the Smoky Valley Winery, owned by Norton native Nicki (Plante) Ebert, also featuring local bartending legend Ed Bargiel. 

 

Entertainment includes: Norton Icon Sara (Stuewe) Brehmer, Norton Community High School Jay Singers, and Dancing to Norton County’s Celebrity, Lucas Maddy
