Multi-species fishing tournament

Proceeds go to support the Secure Sebelius Lake project

Over $20,000 in Prize Money


  • $150 entry fee per person

  • Registration and payment will be collected online; must register and pay prior to 7:00am on Saturday, September 12

  • Fishing starts at 7:30am; ends at 1:30pm

  • Boaters or shore anglers are welcome 

  • This is a largest fish tournament; competitive only with the same species

  • Weigh-in to be located at the East Leoti Cove Boat Dock

Species Clarifications


  • Largemouth, Smallmouth, or Kentucky Spotted

  • Minimum length is 15”


  • Either saugeye or walleye qualifies  

  • Minimum length is 18”


  • There is no minimum length

Ways to Win

  • Per species, prizes are awarded to 1st – 5th places

  • Per “flight” (each flight is two hours), prizes are awarded to 1st – 3rd places per species

  • Two bonus categories: largest fish caught by a female, and largest fish caught by a kid under 16 years of age

  • Total prize money per species: $6700 ($21,000 total). See payout chart below or click here to download.


  • Only one fish per person per species can be weighed each flight

  • All fish weighed become property of the tournament

  • Rod & reel only

  • No fish will be weighed after 1:30pm

  • No fishing lines allowed in the water before 7:30am

  • Please don’t weigh in little fish; check the Live Leaderboard on the SSL Facebook page

  • Live fish are encouraged; there will be a 2lb penalty on the weight of a non-living fish

  • A life jacket must be worn at all times when a combustion motor is running

  • Alcohol is not permitted during tournament hours
