Gloria A. Nelson Cultural Arts Center

About

The Gloria A. Nelson Cultural Arts Center is a dedication to Gloria's personal commitment of preserving the historic beauty of this building and also giving artists and visitors a place to gather and breathe beauty. 

In collaboration with the Norton County Arts Council, the Norton County Community Foundation schedules exhibits with local, regional, and statewide artists.  See below for an exhibit schedule:

  • October 2023: Veteran's Exhibit

  • November - December 2023: Christmas in the Heaton Building

  • January 2024: Julia Kent

  • February 2024: Sounds of Religion

  • March - April 2024: Norton Correctional Facility

  • May 2024: Norton Community High School Art Students

Gallery hours are Monday - Thursday from 7:00 AM - 9:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Weekend viewings can be scheduled on request. There is never an admission fee. 

The Gloria A. Nelson Cultural Arts Center is available to rent for various events such as receptions, parties, and more. The space is approximately 1,300 square feet and comfortably holds 75 people. Learn more here. 

Call for Artists!

The Gloria A. Nelson Cultural Arts Center is currently seeking applications for new artists to give YOU the opportunity to share your work! 

Any type of Art is accepted, ex: Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media, Prints, Photography, Sculptures and 3D art.

Please fill out the form below. Once filled out, please email your portfolio to foundation@nortonccf.org. Please send up to 5-10 photos of your work. ALL submissions are considered!
