About the Norton County Arts Council, Inc.
Founded in August of 1974, the Norton County Arts Council strives to cultivate and enhance the visual, literary, and performing arts opportunities in the greater Norton county community. The Norton County Arts Council is built on the values of creating creative outlets, educating public schools on the Creative Economy, including aesthetic elements in the community, encouraging artists and their exposure to the public, and including art in public buildings.
They focus on working with regional and local community organizations, business, and community members to enhance the culture and arts support in Norton County. Over the last year, the Norton County Arts Council has sponsored the Norton Public Library’s Art Club, the Community Puzzle Project, The Place in Between: Life in Norton County during the 2020 Pandemic project, and the Smithsonian’s traveling exhibit Crossroads: Change in Rural America.
