In an effort to support businesses in the county, Norton County Community Foundation has organized a #NorCoBingo game. The game encourages players to get outside, enjoy their community, and do random acts of kindness for others (all while observing social distancing guidelines).
Playing is easy:
Download a #NorCoBingo card from NCCF’s website, and get busy completing the tasks.
Post 3 photos of you participating to social media using the hashtag #NorCoBingo.
Once you have a “Bingo,” fill out the entry form on NCCF’s website.
Winners are drawn daily at 3:00 PM and receive $100 in Bingo Bucks (aka Chamber Bucks), which they are encouraged to spend at businesses that are struggling due to COVID-19. The Bingo card, entry form, and complete set of rules can be found on NCCF’s website: https://www.nortonccf.org/norcobingo
"As a community foundation, we are trying to be responsive to the needs of our community,” said Tara Vance, Executive Director of Norton County Community Foundation. “The first phase of our response program focused on providing relief to non-profit organizations with our Emergency Grant Funding program. The second phase of our response is this #NorCoBingo game, which aims to accomplish two major things. First, it encourages us all as citizens to enjoy our county, to visit places we’ve never been, and to do things we know we should be doing during this time. Second, it provides a nearly $10,000 injection into the local economy and into our small businesses that could use it the most.”
NCCF would like to thank Nex-Tech for designing the Bingo card, and the Norton Area Chamber of Commerce for helping to coordinate the Bingo Bucks.
For more information about this program, please contact Tara Vance at 785.874.5106 or tara@nortonccf.org. NCCF’s physical office in the Heaton Building is closed; however, staff are continuing regular functions remotely.
